This Documets describes how to install FreeBSD with a minimal installation

If you prefer installing FreeBSD from ftp you can just download the boot-only ISO from here. If you rather install from CD-Rom you should download this ISO instead.

When this is done put the disk into the Cd-Rom drive and boot the computer. (Be sure the computer boots from CD-Rom). When the menu appears just press enter. When this is done the kernel will bot and you will se alot of kernel messages.
Then you will se this menu:

Choose Custom and you’ll see this:

Custom Installation Options

Go through every step (Options is optional) and do the requierd options to Partition, Label, Distributions and Media.

Partition. Create a partition as big as you want to and make it bootable with the option S. (The size of the disk is not from the P7010)

BootManager. Choose Standard if FreeBSD is the only system and choose BootMgr if it’s a dual boot machine.

Label. Should look something like thisize of the disk is not from the P7010)

The Disklabel Editor

Distributions. Minimal of course!
Choose Distribution

Media. Choose something appropriate.
Choose Installation Media
